Home Help is provided in your home and allows individuals to continue to live as independently as possible.

Some aspects of Home Help may include:


Preparation (daily/weekly)
Monitoring diet and eating habits


Preparing grocery list
Accompaniment for shopping and errands
Grocery and general shopping

Light housekeeping

Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, taking out garbage and recycling laundry, ironing, making beds and changing linens, medication monitoring, assistance with pet care, and house plant care

Companionship & Assistance

Companionship & Assistance includes all aspects of life in the community that contribute to a client’s sense of wellbeing.

These aspects may include:


Accompaniment to appointments and special events, using Access Transit or wheelchair taxi if necessary

Shopping trips

Attendance at events

Arranging appointments

Outings and Activities

Visits, Outings, Events, Coffee, Gardening, Reading, Walks, and Activities such as board games and crafts!


Letter writing and correspondence

Medication reminders

Prescription pick-up

Short-term support after hospital release
